My daughter absolutely loves the park, it is also so good for her at the same time. Well we just went yesterday and we had a lot of fun. It gave both her and I exercise haha I follow her all over the place to make sure she stays safe and she can be pretty quick sometimes.
She loves going on the slides, and sometimes there are double slides where I can sit next to her and we can go down together. We hold hands, count.. 1…2..3.. and then we go weee. It’s so fun.
Yay! Happy 4 months little one!
These are things that I found at the Pampers site that a 4 month old should be able to do:
- Holds up his head on his forearms or even his hands. Holds his head steady while being held in a seated position, all the better to have a talk with you.
- Can spot you across the room and follow you with his eyes as you move around.
- Knows how to get your attention by crying, dropping something, or even emitting a phony “cough.”
- Bats at objects and sometimes manages to reach and grab things. If he grabs something, he’ll shake it or stick it in his mouth. If he lets go, it’s an accident that surprises him.
- Finds his own hands very interesting. He’ll swipe at them, touch them, and just look at them.
- Drools a great deal, making his toys and you very wet. But his teeth probably aren’t coming in yet.
- Recognizes your voice and will calm down for at least a little while if you call to him from another room. He’s learning to anticipate and wait.
- Can fall asleep on his own if you start a sleeping ritual and give him a toy or blanket to comfort him.
He does all of these things very well and has been since after his first week of turning 3 months, but he is also doing some of the things listed under 6 month olds such as:
Laughs out loud, smiles, and squeals.
Turns toward sound.
Can comfort himself with a thumb, a blankie, or a rolling activity.
Rolls over both ways.
Begins to be wary of strangers as he’s getting cleverer at figuring out who’s familiar and who’s new in his world.
He is my little achiever!
My daughter and I started reading a new book a few days ago and it really stole her heart as well as mine! It is just the cutest thing ever. As I read the book I go over what is happening on each page and it’s so cute how she knows what’s going on. I’ve already read this book to her several times and it is called “The Little Mouse, the Red Ripe Strawberry and the Big Hungry Bear.”

The story basically goes something like this: There is a mouse who is climbing a ladder to reach a yummy, big red ripe strawberry. The narrator then says that the big hungry bear can smell the strawberry from a mile away, especially a freshly picked one. The mouse then begins to hurry and he tries to bury it, disguise it and guard it but the narrator says that those things wont stop the big hungry bear. So then, the mouse decides to cut it in half, share it with a friend and eat up the big red ripe strawberry.
It is just so cute and all of the illustrations go well with everything that is happening. I would recommend this book to anyone who has a child around my daughters age. She will be 3 in a few months so I would say it is good for this age group.
So as I was browsing through one of my cook books a few days ago, I wrote down a few pages where I seen interesting meal ideas. Ones that were pretty simple but also looked very tasty. One of the ones I wrote down and ended up making was chicken with curry and sour cream sauce
My boyfriend liked this so much that he had me make it two days in a row lol Firstly, you brown the chicken breast halves in just a tiny bit of oil and once it has browned you add 1/4 cup of water, salt and onions. Cover it and let it cook on low for about 20 minutes. After that has finished you remove it and add 1/3 cup of water to the same pan, 2 tablespoons of curry , 1/8 tsp. of ginger and also cumin.
After you bring this to a boil you add one cup of sour cream and heat just until it is warm. Remove the meat from the chicken bone and add it in little pieces to the curry sauce. Serve this over white rice and also with fruit chutney if desired. I didn’t serve the fruit chutney but curry goes excellent with rice.
A nice way to add a bit of sweetness to this meal would be to chop up an apple very finely and add it to the curry mixture while heating so that it softens.
My boyfriend is always finding new sites and sharing them with me. I end up trying them out most of the time. Some I like and stick with, some I’m not too fond of. Since I post images for people, like in comments and such he just told me about Free image hosting
It’s pretty neat because you don’t have to register and you can upload as many images as you want. It’s a really simple site, you can browse and submit and there is hotlinking allowed. I’ll probably end up using the site regularly in the future.
Oh my, how my little boy is growing so quickly! He is going to be 4 months old in no time at all! He has his 4 month check up on Jan. 23rd! I miss the first moments that me and my little boy shared together.. I miss them so much! Even if i was in so much pain for most of them, they were still so very special.
My little boy is so smart! He has been smiling sincerely for over 2 months now! He’s been following his mommy, daddy and little sister with his beautiful eyes from across the room for a while too! He coos and babbles lots, he grabs at toys and anything else that is near to him that seems of interest. He also laughs like crazy when he is tickled.
My little man is also very strong! He rolls from back to tummy and tummy to back and lifts his head up! Of course he cannot sit alone yet but I’m sure that will come very soon.
Something else that I’ve noticed recently.. if someone he does not see very often holds or touches him, he curls his lip and begins to cry.. he doesn’t mind if they’re just talking to him, he will smile like crazy, but just no touching he says! But when mommy, daddy or little sister hold or touch him, he is all smiles and coos, a sure sign that we’ve bonded perfectly.
I love my little boy!!!!
We had a pretty good new year. Just stayed home and relaxed. I cooked up a bunch of good things to snack on plus a yummy dinner. Everyone was satisfied. I am sorry to say my two little babies weren’t able to stay up until the new year hehe but me and my lovely one did and had a glass of champagne to help bring in the new year with a bang!
As for a new year’s resolution.. there are more than one but I am only going to list 1:
Write in my blog more.
