I made my boyfriend chocolate chip cookies and spritz hearts for Valentine’s Day. I made them the day before, but he still has some around now. We also had some things for the kids. We got my daughter a cute heart shirt, a little elephant and some candy. We got my son a little kissing monkey and also some onesies, one of which said ” i love you.”

Today when I got home from grocery shopping, we were in the middle of eating lunch and we get a knock at the door. My bf goes to get it and there is a box waiting outside. He brings it in, telling me not to look.
We open the box and I’m shocked, he got me 2 dozen beautiful roses that came with a lovely red vase and an adorable little bear. Attached was also a cute note. I would’ve never expected flowers, I almost wanted to cry. I want to keep these flowers forever and I definitely am going to, whether I press them later or make potpourri. This is probably going to be the best Valentine’s Day ever.

I made potato crusted salmon the other night and it came out excellent. I’ve never liked salmon as much as I did when I tried this out. All you need to do is use a pouch of mashed potato mix and add some lemon pepper and paprika to it, dip the salmon in egg then into the dry mixture and fry. Use a tiny bit of olive oil and cook for a few minutes on each side.
This recipe really is good, if you like fish you have to try this!

I have a huge bag of carrots sitting in my refrigerator and I didn’t want them all to go bad plus I wanted to make something good so I decided to make some carrot cake! It came out so awesome, it is delicious! It wasn’t as hard to make as I thought either. It called for 3 cups of grated carrots and I did that, the rest of the recipe was very simple.
I also made some cream cheese frosting to go on top. It just called for 1 package of cream cheese, butter, vanilla extract and powdered sugar. Very simple and also very yummy! This is also a good way for me to get them to eat a healthy snack hehe Not that they don’t normally eat healthy but you can’t really tell that there are tons of carrots in the cake!

Smorty allows you to get paid for blogging, there are many different topics to write about so it can be very fun. Through their website, advertisers will pay bloggers to blog about their site/product etc thus they advertise on blogs. Just write an opinion and link back to them on your blog and wait for them to approve it!
I have used one other site similar to this one before but so far, Smorty has a lot more available opportunities for me. With that being said, I am much more interested in this website right now. Smorty allows you to sign up and get started really quickly. They approved my blog the next day and I immediately seen several opportunities that I could write about! If you already have a blog, then why not blog for money? You can write about the things you love while using their easy service.

Potty training with my daughter has been going okay. I mean from my experiences it’s been the most difficult task of raising her so far, and girls are supposed to be easier than boys.. so we will see how it goes with my son when he is older!
She has begun to tell me when she has to go and I am very proud of her for that! Sometimes she just sort of forgets to tell me and just goes. I know she’s going to master it soon though. Sometimes I don’t even put a diaper on her, I just leave her in underwear hoping that they will help to remind her she needs to go in the potty.
When she does go in the potty I praise her so much and make her feel so special. She then smiles a big accomplished smile. I’ll have more updates on this topic later when she begins to master it more and more.
I almost forgot to mention.. when she was laying in bed going to sleep last night, she told me she had to go potty, so we quickly got her onto the potty and she went! I was so happy!
