Greek Lamb and Orzo
Greek lamb and orzo is a very delicious meal that I discovered a few years ago. Everyone loves it and it’s not too hard to make. Things that you will need in order to create this meal are:
1 lb of lamb
1 package orzo
2 cans of stewed tomatoes
pita bread (optional)
sour cream or plain yogurt (optional)
In all honesty if I don’t have any lamb available I just use a pound of ground beef, it tastes just as good.
Brown the meat of your choice. Once it has browned, add the package of orzo and the 2 cans of stewed tomatoes. Cover and let it simmer on low for about 20-30 minutes, depending on your stove. Just make sure you check it and stir often so that it doesn’t stick to the bottom of the pan. Once It’s all done it tastes great on warm pita bread, topped with sour cream or plain yogurt. Although it can do without those two extra things, they make great additions. Serve with a nice salad and you’ve got yourself an excellent meal!
