Trip to the Los Angeles County Zoo

Going to the zoo with the children is so much fun, especially since my daughter is at the age where she happens to be very attentive. She really liked to observe all of the animals and my son seemed to be having a good time too. We were able to go through pretty much the entire zoo in a few hours, it was a lot of walking but it was still nice. They have this new Gorillas habitat that is so awesome, they were so much fun to watch. It was a female, a male and their little baby.
They are also currently building a new habitat for some Elephants, so next time that we go back I hope to see them there. I would really love to go to the San Diego Zoo, I hear it is really huge and nice, it is pretty much so big I think you have to take a tram through the place. I’ve also started to think a lot about other fun places to go, exotic places and new places. We went to the Santa Monica beach last week and had so much fun! It isn’t exactly Summer weather yet, but it was sunny enough with a slight wind chill. It wasn’t all that crowded either so there was tons of room for the kids to play in the sand. Playing in the sand is their most favorite part of being at the beach and of course their father built a lovely sand castle as well.
My daughter enjoyed the water as well but it was pretty cold, so of course we only got in to our ankles. I wouldn’t mind going to the beach more often since it is such a nice atmosphere. My son had so much fun in the sand it was unbelievable and he only tried tasting the sand once i assure you haha and then after that it was all about the shovel. He also took a liking to the local sea gulls and had fun chasing after those for a while and also gave me a workout hehe Fun times!
