Laguna Beach is a really beautiful beach to visit, especially if you’ve never been to a real beach before and you happen to be in the Orange County area. We just went there recently and we absolutely loved it! I would definitely love to live near there some day, but in the mean time I plan on making many more visits there this summer. We drove down some residential street on our way back and the houses were jaw dropping beautiful.

The waves weren’t very huge when we went but the water still looked really nice. It is so clean there. My daughter and I didn’t go very far in, but we did get our legs wet, at first she was sort of scared of the water and just wanted to run from it when the waves would come crashing in, but she enjoyed it. Most of all she loved playing in the sand building castles and just digging, her daddy even joined in and it was so cute. Our little boy was very content as well so he must have loved it too. He liked watching them play in the sand and just looking out at the beach.

It is so peaceful and nice at the beach that I would lose track of the time and then when it was time to go I didn’t even want to leave. We had a nice lunch there that I packed for us, sandwiches and snacks. Something to remember for the next trip is that 5 minutes in the sun at the beach is a lot and the umbrella doesn’t protect from everything, definitely wear more sunblock next time! I have plenty so that shouldn’t be a problem.  Gosh that day was awesome.

We took the kids to aquarium of the pacific on Wednesday, the trip was kind of part of my daughter’s birthday gift. My daughter loved looking at all the different fish and things that they had, a lot of it stood out very brightly in some of the dark rooms. My son slept for the first half of the time we were there but then later he also got to look at some things and seemed very interested lol He wouldn’t take his eyes off of the displays, except to smile at me from time to time.

There were also some hands on things that children could touch, I guess my daughter was a little too young though, because she couldn’t reach far enough into the pool to touch the animals. They were also feeding sharks while we were there.

It was fun and the breeze felt so nice there in Long Beach. Our next trip definitely needs to be to the beach..

Also, my daughter’s check up is on Monday so we’ll see how that goes. I’m sure it will go fine.

Time to take in the yummy goodness of freshly bloomed flowers and green trees! This is a wonderful time of year and also a time for my daughter’s birthday. It’s also time to get the duster out and start cleaning lol.. and to open up all the windows and let the scent of the season flow into your home. What’s wonderful is that there are Gardenias right outside my home and they smell gorgeous! Yay for Spring!

Recently I’ve decided to try out a new website that my friend continues to mention to me. I wanted to find out what all the fuss was about and see if I could benefit from it. From what I’ve seen, this website seems very beneficial and fun!

I love that there are so many topics to choose from. You can choose from one of the available topics to blog about and most likely find one that is very much related to your own blog. Not only will you be blogging about something you enjoy, but you will also be earning money from it! The amount that you get paid for each blog varies, but many of them pay out very well.

You can keep your current layout and design, continue blogging about whatever you want and when you have some free time and feel like making some money use this blog

I plan to see how much money I can make from this and just save it up. Hopefully I make a lot and can put the money into a good savings account.

having fun with gifts!

My Birthday and X-mas were good. I am now 22 and keep forgetting most of the time because it doesn’t feel any different.. it never does until you look back on the past few years and realize how time flies. But anyways, I got some nice things. My grandma had tons of gifts for everyone and my daughter loved opening gifts but there were just so many that by the time she finished she was pretty pooped out from opening gifts. She had double the gifts because she opened her brother’s too since he’s too young! She kept busy with new toys for a few days and then got kinda bored of them as the days passed hehe. She still does play with a lot of them though. My little boy got lots of cute new clothes!

Dinner was yummy and by the end of the day we were all ready to pass out.. from getting up early and then fussing about all day.

Oh by gosh, by golly, it’s time for mistletoe and holly,
Tasty pheasants, Christmas presents,
Countrysides covered with snow.
Oh by gosh, by jingle,
It’s time for carols and Kris Kringle.

Overeating, merry greetings
From relatives you don’t know.
Then comes that big night,
Giving the tree a trim.
You’ll hear voices by starlight
Singing yuletide hollers…

Oh by gosh, by golly,
It’s time for mistletoe and holly,
Fancy ties and Grandma’s pies
And folks stealing a kiss or two,
As they whisper Merry Christmas to you.

Christmas is a great time of year to me, not only because of the extra presents and the fact that it’s my birthday either! I love the beautiful decorations, lights and displays, the shopping, the feeling, the baking, the food and the music. It can bring such a nice feeling to my life.

I’ve already put up lights outside that look very nice if i do say so myself. I decorated a Christmas tree too. Just a 4 foot one this year.. we don’t have that much room and it fits perfectly. My daughter helped me put some of the decorations on it, I think she had a blast. I plan on baking lots of different kinds of cookies this year also. My grandma has always baked dozens and dozens of different cookies every year and this year we’re going to combine our batches.

The shopping can be kind of hectic but rewarding when I see the looks on my Children’s faces Christmas morning when they get to open all of their gifts. That is the absolute best part of it all!

I hope it will be a Happy Birthday to me and a very Merry Christmas..

Tommy and I decided to start our own aquarium. We chose a 10 gallon starter kit that came with a filter and heater. He was pretty excited about starting our own tank and so was I. I chose purple and black gravel to go in.. yeah I know it isn’t very much of the natural look but I think it looks swell. We also got some live plants to go in. I already knew a great deal about aquariums because I’ve had fish when I was younger and I’ve also written articles about them.

So after we purchased the tank and a stand.. we took them home = ) we rinsed everything off in water using no soap because that can leave a residue.. including the gravel. First we put the gravel in the tank and filled it up a third of the way and set the live plants in and the rock/cave thing we got. After that we finished filling it the rest of the way using a large bucket. Then we put the filter and heater in place and last the light. We put some conditioning drops in the water to get rid of any chlorine and other things that can harm the fish. Lastly, we let the water sit for a while so the water could get warmed up.

We currently have 3 guppies, 2 mollys, some tetras and a little spotted cory.. plus tommy wanted a ghost shrimp so we got that. They are all doing well right now and I plan to keep it that way. For the first month we’ll be doing a 10 percent water change weekly and after it is more established we’ll change about 25 percent monthly.

The tank is very fun to watch. My favorite is the little cory, he is so cute. He searches the gravel for any food that the rest of the fish didn’t get to. Feeding time is the most fun part of having them. I love watching them dart around to get it. I also love both of the mollys.

So I’ve been getting the bedroom ready for my new baby since time is going by so quick and he’ll be arriving pretty soon. All of my daughters things are one on side and I’m putting my son’s things on the other side. It really looks very adorable! It looks better this way than it did before I even started making room for the new baby.. I’m not sure why. There is a children’s table that’s going in their room with two chairs. It is in the process of being painted right now but it is almost done! It’s a minty green color that we picked out at home depot today and my fiance has been working on it all day. Brielle spent some time with the table before we began painting it and she loves the thing. I am glad that there is enough room in the bedroom for both of them but of course as they both grow older.. I’m going to eventually need to advance to a 3 bedroom.

Well anyways, I’m very happy with how the room’s coming out and I’m most likely going to take lots of pictures when it’s finished, which should be soon.. but I am pretty tired so this is going to be short tonight.
