Iced Tea is very Delicious!

Posted by: Fallon

August 22nd, 2008 >> Health

Lately I have been drinking a lot of iced tea. It’s really good and also gives me the added energy that I need so much! It’s low on sugar (I only add a little for flavor) and also has antioxidants! I really enjoy tea much more when it is chilled than when it’s hot.. and I have been making it by the pitcher  so that I don’t need to make a cup every time that I want some.

I always knew that tea was good for you but I recently learned a lot more in depth about things it does for you including how it helps in aging, arthritis, allergies, bone strength, heart disease, cholesterol, cancer and even weight loss. Sounds awesome to me, I’m drinking something I like and I’m benefiting from it. I still refuse to give anything with caffeine in it to children but it might be okay to introduce to them when they are much older. I would consider decaffeinated tea but then I just learned that during the natural CO-2 process they use to decaffeinate the tea it actually loses like 90% of the cancer fighting properties that it has.

Eye Appointment

August 18th, 2008 >> Health

Well today was my daughter’s follow up check up for her eyes and I guess it didn’t go that well. She just doesnt really want to follow along with the tests they want to do on her, like covering one eye at a time to ask her what she can see. She pretty much causes a scene and they aren’t able to help so much. Her glasses do help her though but now they want us to try something else. She is supposed to go back in another 6 weeks, but at this point it kind of seems unnecessary, but I will take her because they want to see how she is responding to the new treatment.

Hopefully she will be more cooperative next time. If she were older she could just go to any eye doctor and answer the questions but right now we need to go here, even though I don’t really like the place too much. Oh well, we will see what happens.

70 Calorie Bars

I’ve been trying pretty hard lately to make good snack choices and improve my health. There are many different things that can be pretty tempting but aren’t always the best choice but at www.PromaxNutrition.net you can get delicious tasting healthy snack bars that have only 70 calories and come in flavors like Chocolate Mint, Cookies ‘n Cream and Black Forest Cake. Who would have thought that something with only 70 calories would taste so good. Not only do they taste good but they offer excellent nutrition. If you happen to be on the go a lot then these are very handy because of the convenience they provide, they don’t take up much room at all.

If you are a very active person and you go jogging, walk, play a sport or lift weights, etc. then their high protein bars would be an excellent choice for you. They offer more nutrition than a candy bar ever could and can even be a replacement for a meal if you are in a rush. I suggest that anyone who wants to live an active and healthy lifestyle to include an all natural energy bar in their life and start achieving the health goals they have been wanting to meet.

Slimquick Hoodia Review Website

August 8th, 2008 >> Health

There are many people out there would love to lose a few pounds or more, I would like to shed some myself. Although diet and exercise tend to be a good place to start they are sometimes not enough. slimquick hoodia is the newest supplement currently being offered by the SlimQuick company. They say that slimquick hoodia is the only one of it’s kind to be fortified with Vitamin D3, Calcium and green tea, also being uniquely made for women. Even though all of these things sound good, sometimes it isn’t the whole story.

Many people claim that it works, some say it does not and others are indecisive. Hoodia has also not had any clinical research done on it and although the formula contains some good ingredients there still doesn’t seem to be any that are advanced in burning fat.  Even though you may want to lose weight, you also want to know the truth, so it’s always best to read up on reviews about the product before putting your money into it.

I learned all that and much more at sybervision.com/reviews, they offer honest and reliable reviews about all types of things ranging from diet pills to wrinkle creams and more. So if you happen to be interested in similar products then perhaps you should check them out and browse their honest reviews.

My Opinion About Smoking

Posted by: Fallon

July 15th, 2008 >> Health

This is mostly about my personal feelings on smoking and the world around us. I grew up around smoke, both of my parents smoked and still do.. but I do not. Sure I experienced it, but nothing really serious.. and I am glad that I was not influenced enough by them to be a smoker today. I find smoking one of the most disgusting habits that you could possibly have in this day and time.

Furthermore, I look around today and see kids as young as 16 smoking and I wonder, where in the world are their parents? They couldn’t possibly be so oblivious as to not notice or to not smell it. Either they really do care that little or just don’t want to bother with discipline. If a 16 year old child is living at home I believe the parents have all the say in the world about whether the child smokes or not, not for control issues but because they love the child for crying out loud. When a child smokes it isn’t because “oh i’m stressed blah blah blah” if they aren’t addicted yet it isn’t stress relieving. Kids smoke because of peer pressure, plain and simple. A parent needs to be there for them and help them get over this, possibly remove the friends whom are being influential.

I don’t think it would be very lovely to watch your own child pass away, or watch them go through an illness triggered by smoking.  Whether they are rebellious or not now, they would thank their parent in the future when they are a non smoker and see their sick friends around them. With smoking, it isn’t a “maybe” when it comes to illness, it is just a matter of when. Whether it is lung cancer, emphysema, bronchitis, heart problems.. it does happen. Those are only a few of the many, many more illnesses you can get.

If your child is not thanking you for looking after them and for being a non smoker then maybe they fall into the other category and are highly disappointed in you now that none of the patches that they buy seem to satisfy their nicotine addiction. How can anyone pay a company  to make their child die faster. This topic just really bothers me and I needed to reflect on it. The only other worse thing, is parents smoking around their children and actually being the one to expose them to the smoke. *sigh*
