Superhero Costume

September 7th, 2008 >> Holidays, Shopping

Well as we all know, Halloween is going to be coming up pretty soon and I have been looking around so that I can find the perfect costumes for my children but specifically Superhero Costumes for my little boy. I think that he would look just adorable if I dressed him up as a little Spiderman (see the photo below) I love the costume because it looks so comfortable for my baby and it comes at a good price. Spiderman is also a good movie! I can’t wait to take pictures of each of my kids in their costume and send them out to people. I take new pictures of them every year and send them out to people, they make wonderful memories.

Looking around at different Halloween Costume Stores around this time of year is always fun because my children look adorable in their costumes and they just love Halloween! My daughter loves dressing up and collecting free candy while my son loves to look at all of the decorations that are up. Although it might be mind boggling to decide which store is the best place to shop at www.halloweenadventure.com has a costume for everyone at reasonable prices, after comparing it to many of the other stores. You can do your shopping for the whole family at one convenient store and you don’t need to spend an arm and a leg!

Unique Christmas Cards

ChristmasCardsDirect.com is a great resource for Holiday Greeting Cards! Their cards are designed beautifully and can be purchased for a great price. Not only do they provide great Christmas Cards but they also have many articles on photo taking tips.

I love the fact that they have such a variety of designs and styles, everyone is sure to find something that they like. I can really benefit from the fact that you can make your own Christmas photo cards,  you can easily upload your digital photos and customize it on the card just the way that you like it. This is a great way for me to send beautiful cards with my children’s photos to my family and friends.

Mother’s Day

My Mother’s Day went pretty well. My boyfriend got me an endearing card, a potted plant so it will last forever and a Mother’s Day balloon. We went over to my dad’s and watched our daughter have fun outside. She did some more chalk drawing on the drive way and rode her bike. She also did a lot of running around and telling people to come chase her lol I didn’t see my mom because she didn’t feel like coming out of the house but it doesn’t really matter. She said we could go over to her house but I didn’t want to do that.

My daughter is learning to ride her bike better and better.. she only has problems when she tries to ride uphill. But she has the whole idea down about left foot, right foot, left foot. But all in all it was a pretty enjoyable day. If anyone has any Mother’s Day stories to tell about, then leave me some comments about them!

3rd Birthday

My daughter’s birthday went extremely well yesterday. Before her birthday I would tell her about her birthday and that it was coming very soon so when it finally did she was very excited. We had several guests about 10 or something and everyone got here pretty much on time and it went smoothly from there. I already had the place decorated since I woke up early and we served pizza right when everyone got here and we also had lemonade. My friend Amanda even showed up. My daughter was very happy about the company.

Anyways, after everyone was pretty much done with that we moved onto the cake. We sat my daughter at the table and she helped put 3 candles in the cake, we sang to her (which she loved) and then she blew out the candles on her own! It was so cute. The cake had a cute princess on it that my daughter picked out and it was huge and delicious. I gave plates of cake to people to take home afterwards and I still have some left.

She opened all of her presents after and loved it. She got tons of clothes, puzzles, pooh, tigger and eeyore characters. She got a bike from my dad and she also got a play kitchen me and her dad picked out for her along with a helmet for the bike a birthstone barbie, money and some other things. I bet her dad is going to love setting up the kitchen for her lol The whole thing only lasted about 3 hours but I still have all the party stuff up. It was a very fun time and now I’ve got to get her ready for her 3 year old check up = (

Easter

Our Easter went pretty well, although it was a very long and hot day. I woke everyone up early so that the kids could come down and get their baskets. Between what me and my grandma got them they got a bunch of really cute things. We headed off to my dad’s around 12:30 or 1 but I forgot something so we had to turn around and come back when we were like a street away from his house. Luckily we don’t live that far from each other!

Brielle played outside and colored, played with some of the new things she got and overall had a pretty good time. We were out for so long though that towards the end she was saying, “I want to go home” lol it was funny and cute. For dinner my grandma made a ham dinner with asparagus, beets and some other things with strawberry short cake for dessert. It was Pretty good. Everyone was so tired when we got home that the baby slept all night long!

I also distributed some more pictures to people I haven’t given any to yet and I got to see my friend Amanda who was visiting her grandma two houses away. The last time I seen her was a few days away from when I had the baby and she brought me a cake and gifts. She just got married and is expecting a baby of her own in July though, so I guess we both pretty much have lives of our own now! It’s still kind of weird to imagine that my childhood friend is now having her own baby, I never would have imagined.

Ham Dinner

March 22nd, 2008 >> Holidays

I made a ham last night for dinner with mashed potatoes, asparagus and some mixed vegetables. I decided to make it before Easter because my grandma is going to cook on Easter. Me and my daughter also colored some eggs and they came out really cute. She told me she was happy that we were coloring eggs lol

On Easter I’m going to hide them around for her and I bet she’ll have a good time with that. Not only that but I also have some Easter basket stuff for both kids. It’s gonna be really fun to see how excited they get.  I was also going to make some sugar cookies in bunny and chick shapes just for fun. She’s really good at doing things with me so I think I might make some today and give most of them away so we don’t end up eating dozens of cookies lol

My daughter is learning how to use the computer and she is actually very good at it too! We play little kid games together with her on my lap. They are mostly doll dress up games where there are many different outfits that you can put on a doll and do the makeup etc.. Well she used to just tell me what to put on the doll but she’s actually begun to use the mouse and do it herself! haha
